Product Designer - botim

Location: Abu Dhabi

Role Summary

We are looking for a Product Designer to shape the user experience of botim, an AI-native fintech platform serving millions of users across payments, financial services, communications, and platform capabilities.

You will design complex, high-impact fintech experiences where trust, speed, and scalability matter. Working with Product, Engineering, Data, Risk, and Growth, you will own the design of your product area end to end, and help define not just how our products look and feel, but what we build and why.

Responsibilities

• Own product work end to end, from problem framing and concepting through launch and iteration. Stay involved through launch, not just handoff.

• Design user journeys for AI-driven fintech products including payments, wallets, onboarding, lending, and platform services.

• Turn regulatory and system complexity into intuitive workflows. Translate product strategy, user needs, data, and compliance requirements into clear flows and high-quality UI.

• Own the product copy for the flows you design. This includes the Arabic version, which you take through our content tooling and a native review step.

• Use AI as a core part of your workflow. Prototype, explore, and iterate with AI-assisted tools, and bring the results into Figma for systems and polish.

• Collaborate closely with engineers in agile teams, including rapid prototyping to validate ideas quickly.

• Contribute to and evolve botim's design system, establishing patterns that scale across products.

• Validate with research and experimentation. Use qualitative and quantitative signals to inform decisions and evaluate impact.

• Share work regularly in design reviews and contribute to a strong culture of feedback and iteration.

• Deliver production-ready work across mobile and web, with attention to states, edge cases, dark mode, localisation and RTL considered by default.

Arabic language skills are not required. Designers run the localisation process; they do not translate.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer working on digital consumer products.

• A portfolio showing end-to-end ownership, problem-solving, and measurable product impact. This is a mandatory requirement.

• Experience designing in regulated or highly complex environments, where compliance, risk, or legacy systems shape the product.

• Strong craft across interaction design, visual design, and prototyping in Figma.

• Working proficiency with AI design tools applied to real product work.

• Proven ability to collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Data, and Risk teams.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to articulate the reasoning behind design decisions.

• Comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with evolving requirements.

Preferred

• Experience designing for a fintech product, such as payments, wallets, lending, or banking.

• Experience with super-apps or platform products.
