Senior Product Manager (B2B Remittance)
Role Summary
This is a zero-to-one opportunity. As Product Manager for B2B Cross-Border Payments, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and end-to-end execution of botim's B2B remittance and international payments product – building it from the ground up. You will operate at the intersection of payment infrastructure, FX economics, regulatory compliance, and merchant experience, working closely with banking partners, regulators, engineering, and commercial teams. This role is for a builder: someone who has shipped a payment corridor, navigated a central bank approval, and knows the difference between settlement finality and transaction confirmation.
Responsibilities
Define and own the full product roadmap for B2B cross-border payments, aligned to botim's merchant ecosystem and SME growth strategy; identify new corridors, use cases, and monetisation opportunities.
Design and optimise payment flows across SWIFT, local rails (UAEFTS, RTGS, UPI, Raast, InstaPay), and partner bank integrations; own FX spread logic, rate refresh cycles, and smart routing decisions to improve success rates, speed, and cost efficiency.
Simplify complex, multi-party payment flows into intuitive merchant experiences; optimise onboarding, KYB/KYC journeys, transaction tracking, and reconciliation, ensuring full transparency on FX rates, fees, and settlement timelines.
Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Legal to embed AML/CFT requirements, sanctions screening, and CBUAE cross-border regulations into the product by design; build compliant yet frictionless merchant journeys.
Define and track product KPIs – transaction success rate, processing TAT, cost per transaction, corridor volume, merchant adoption, and 12-month retention – and use data to continuously optimise pricing, routing strategy, and features.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field – or equivalent experience.
5–8 years in product management, with substantive experience in payments, fintech, or banking – not just adjacent industries.
Hands-on experience shipping cross-border payments, remittance, or FX products – real corridors, real constraints, real regulatory environments.
Deep working knowledge of payment rails: SWIFT, local clearing systems (UAEFTS, UPI, Raast, FPS, SEPA), and the trade-offs between speed, cost, and settlement finality.
Fluency in FX economics: spread management, rate refresh cycles, settlement risk, and how pricing architecture affects margin and merchant behaviour.
Experience building or integrating with payment APIs at scale: REST APIs, webhooks, reconciliation feeds, and partner bank connectivity.
Proven ability to operate in licensed, regulated financial environments – working alongside compliance, legal, and risk teams effectively.
Strong analytical instincts: hypothesis-driven, data-literate, and comfortable making decisions without perfect information.
Demonstrated stakeholder management across engineering, commercial, legal, and external partners in complex, matrixed organisations.
